"Chartering the Path to Net Zero" is an online learning course designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complex journey towards achieving net zero carbon emissions. Through a series of five modules, participants will gain a deep understanding of carbon footprinting, data collection and analysis, target setting, decarbonisation planning, effective communication and continuous improvement strategies. By the end of the course, participants will be able to: - Determine how Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions impact your business and understand the role data plays in assessment. - Understand the steps in the journey to Net Zero, including calculating a carbon footprint, setting a reduction target, creating a decarbonisation plan, and preparing for taking action. - Understand the difference between the types of carbon reduction targets and be able to consider factors such as emissions reduction potential, feasibility and budgeting. - Understand the key points needed to develop a detailed decarbonisation plan, including prioritising carbon reduction initiatives, anticipating future challenges, and implementing strategies for continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement.
